This paper is the continuation of our recently published paper [S. Jovicevic, Phys. Essays 18, 518 (2005)], so the two papers should be treated as an entirety. Based on the hypothesis of a discrete vacuum structure, the local form of the field equations related to a single etheron is given. This conception of the electromagnetic field in a vacuum leads to the invariance of the field equations with respect to the Galilean transformations. The mass‐velocity dependence law, as well as the total energy of a particle, is derived within the classical space‐time concept.
Keywords: relativity, vacuum, field equations invariance, mass‐velocity dependence, total energy of a particle
