Importance of synchronization in the observation of event coordinates

The importance of synchronization of spatially separated clocks in observing event coordinates cannot be overemphasized. We illustrate this with a real-world example. The results show the dependence of both length contraction and time dilation on the adopted synchronization convention. It is illustrated that a change in synchronization convention completely alters the appearance of the physical world. This is to be viewed in the context of the stated position in physics that synchronization of spatially separated clocks in any inertial frame depended on the adoption of a convention for its resolution. The preferred method of synchronization of spatially separated clocks is the standard convention recommended by the theory of relativity; however, it still remains a convention.
L'importance de la synchronisation des horloges spatialement séparées dans l'observation des coordonnées des événements ne peut pas être surestimée. Nous illustrons cela avec un exemple concret. Les résultats montrent la dépendance de la contraction de la longueur et de la dilatation du temps sur la convention de synchronisation adoptée. Il est illustré qu'un changement de convention de synchronisation modifie complètement l'apparence du monde physique. Ceci doit être considéré dans le contexte de la position déclarée en physique selon laquelle la synchronisation d'horloges spatialement séparées dans n'importe quel référentiel inertiel dépendait de l'adoption d'une convention pour sa résolution. La méthode préférée de synchronisation d'horloges spatialement séparées est la convention standard recommandée par la théorie de la relativité ; cependant cela reste encore une convention.
