A Physical Basis for Schrödinger's Equation

The electron may be considered to be a wave‐packet comprising photons traveling in opposite directions, continually reversing direction, and confined to a region of space. This differs from the conventional view that the wave‐packet comprises waves that extend infinitely into space but are in phase only in the region of the packet.
