Another solution to the null result of the Michelson interferometer

The two postulates of the special theory of relativity logically lead to the modern version of relativity. An assumption underlies the first postulate. That assumption is that light and matter should be unified under a common framework. Classic foundational experiments upon which the special theory of relativity is based have similar results when this assumption is abandoned. The theory of operation of the interferometer is reviewed and reinterpreted with this modification.

Les deux postulats de la théorie de la relativité restreinte ont logiquement débouché sur une version moderne de la relativité. Une hypothèse sous-tend le premier postulat. Cette hypothèse est que la lumière et la matière devraient être unifiées dans un cadre commun. Des expériences classiques sur lesquelles la théorie de la relativité restreinte est basée ont des résultats similaires lorsque cette hypothèse est abandonnée. Le principe de fonctionnement de l'interféromètre est revu et réinterprété avec cette modification.
